These homeowners came to us to update three powder baths, while also designing a mudroom and laundry room. In addition, they wanted a complete redesign and renovation of their basement to accommodate a family room, separate exercise room and a powder bath.
On the first floor we completely removed their existing inefficient laundry room, a hall closet, two powder baths and stole about 24” from their oversized garage in order to accomplish the new layout. They had very specific aesthetics in mind for each area renovated, with attention to details in their selections. They can now enter their home from the garage or a side entrance and arrive into a mudroom with custom blue cabinets and lockers, a large farmhouse sink and a beautiful cement tile feature wall with floating shelves. The laundry room now has a pocket door separating it from the mudroom, and houses the washer and dryer with a wood folding shelf, white tile backsplash and custom white and blue painted cabinetry.
In the basement we eliminated the existing bar area, a drop ceiling, and two structural posts. We installed structural I-Beams in order to add a separate exercise room, complete with full length mirrors and state of the art equipment. Additionally, we relocated a powder bath and finished out a family room, with new flooring and carpet on the stairs. The end result are gorgeous spaces for this growing family that are unique to their style and allow for improved function, style and enjoyment.
