What was once a guest room and sitting area is now the ultimate entertainment hub, designed for everything from game day gatherings to casual cocktail nights. The homeowners wanted a well-flowing space that felt both stylish and functional, so Corinthian Fine Homes worked its magic—knocking down walls, rethinking storage, and adding just the right amount of wow factor.
The two rooms were opened up to create a seamless lounge and bar area, but they still maintain their own distinct vibe. By keeping the original framing, we were able to carve out a large walkway and a framed opening, making the space feel connected without losing definition. Now, thanks to some smart sightlines, you can catch the giant TV from almost anywhere in the room. And with a second TV over the back bar, you’ll never miss a second of the action—no more fighting for the best seat in the house!
Of course, what’s an entertainment space without a bar? The freestanding bar is the perfect spot for the homeowner to channel their inner mixologist, complete with hidden storage inside the bar and two tall cabinets behind it for all the essentials. We even tricked the eye by using a drywall and molding treatment painted to match the Sea Serpent Blue cabinetry—giving the illusion of a fully built-in bar without the hefty price tag. The finishing touch? The cabinet crown molding extends across the wall, making everything feel even more polished.
Where a closet once stood, we created a sleek serving station, adding base cabinets with a sink, ice maker, and under-counter fridge—because no great party happens without snacks and drinks close at hand. Open shelving and a basketweave tile backsplash make the space feel both elevated and effortless.
For seating, the homeowners went all in—barstools at both the freestanding bar and window counter, plus a spacious sectional and lounge chairs to ensure no guest is left standing. The Azul Nuevo leathered granite countertops inspired the room’s entire color scheme, pulling together deep blue cabinets, warm neutrals in the flooring and tile, and luxe gold fixtures for just the right touch of sophisticated comfort.
With custom craftsmanship, clever design tricks, and a whole lot of personality, this once-underused basement is now a go-to destination for hosting, relaxing, and making memories.
