Back in 2017 I wrote this blog on Greenery 2017 Pantone Color of the Year and ideas for choosing the right color palette for your home during a remodel.

In 2022, this blog remains current, as practically every major brand of paint is agreeing that green will be an official color for the year. One designer states, “previously we talked about bringing the best of the indoors into outdoor realms. But now we’re seeing a reversal trend, with uplifting greens and botanical motifs coming inside the home in everything from paint to pillows.”

What’s in a color?

Green can be calming, so bedrooms can incorporate muted tones, by using a green with a blue undertone such as Sherwin Williams Sea Salt or Benjamin Moore Wythe Blue.

Whatever shade of green you choose and how you choose to use it, you are likely to be in great company. It’s often described as the color of joy, harmony, life, energy, the environment, and money. Those who like green are said to believe in balance, stability, and persistence. Go forth and go green.
