These clients wanted increased space on their first floor to not only accommodate their growing family, but also to provide open space to entertain. The logical solution was to expand over the top of their existing first floor patio.
In the design stages, we realized we could also add a second floor which included a new bedroom/bathroom suite with a walk-in closet for their daughter. We repurposed an existing stained glass family crest in the new bedroom.
All selection choices were made to maintain the “old world” charm of the existing house. We were able to meet all their needs as well as all their wants, and the new addition ties seamlessly with the existing home.
