These prior clients came to us to design and implement a grand renovation with a luxurious aesthetic and improved function for their master suite. We removed everything in the bath and did not change the original layout other than to steal some room from a living room cabinet to enlarge the shower. We eliminated a large corner built-in bathtub and installed a new soaker tub with an exterior finish to coordinate with the coloring of the floor tile. Floor mounted plumbing in brushed brass added an elegant aesthetic. His and Her vanities fabricated of hickory have a dark chocolate finish and includes customized drawers with outlets. We raised the ceiling height in the shower to make the space more comfortable. The original shower had an 8’ ceiling and was awkward with an odd angle and they were not able to take full advantage of the space. We eliminated the ceiling in the shower and added a beam for the mechanicals as well as adding a shower head and lights. Niches for shampoo and a small toe shelf were added and 6×16 white wall tile was used to allow for a WOW focus wall using decorative and dimensional blue tile. The bathroom floor is a 4-piece pattern of 8×8 porcelain tile from MLW’s Arte Nova collection and a heated floor is great for cold Indiana winters. Beveled mirrors with clipped corners were custom fabricated. A previously owned chandelier was incorporated into the bathroom design and sconces were used for visual appeal. The master closet was originally a generic closet with basic open shelving with painted particle board. The newly designed closet has custom navy-blue shelves, and the island countertop matches the bathroom countertops of Mont Calcutta NY quartz. Customized laundry bins, specialized drawers and shelves were added up to the ceiling. The carpet is soft and silky and a dream to walk on in your bare feet. Our homeowners love the aesthetics and customized functional spaces of their luxurious new master suite.
