Dated Primary Bathroom Gets Bright Update

These homeowners came to us requesting a complete remodel of their existing primary bathroom with a firm budget in mind. The goal of optimizing the floor plan to incorporate a large spa-like shower and to significantly maximize their storage and countertop space were their priorities. During the design phase, our constraints were an existing window and the water closet which were to stay in their existing locations in the room. It was decided that the tub was not a necessity and that by relocating the shower to its’ space, we could almost double the vanity size and storage by 4-1/2’. The 9-1/2’ vanity for two was designed with a breakfront furniture-style 6 drawer cabinet with legs between the sinks for dimensioned architectural interest. We could then incorporate a cabinet tower that sits on a built-up box fabricated from the countertop granite. This allowed for the electrical wiring for the outlets, which are horizontally installed on the sides of the box. The vanity wall is painted a dark gray color which allows the white cabinetry to pop. The shower walls are classic 4”x16” arctic white glossy tile, with a decorative accent strip of a contemporary hexagon glossy glass tile for visual appeal. This same tile was used for the back of 3 tall shower niches to store all their favorite shower products. For the shower floor, a 2”x4” porcelain tile in a realistic interpretation of travertine was used and the bathroom floor itself is a hexagon tile inspired by nature for cohesiveness throughout with the flooring. The plumbing fixtures include a rain head and an adjustable-height handheld shower with the ability to have different temperatures for both shower heads, which gives them that spa-like feel they were envisioning. The fixtures are polished nickel which coordinates well with the earthy tones of the shower accent tile, the light green wall paint, and the natural finishes of the floors. The finished space is gorgeous, and our homeowners are delighted not only with the space but with the experience they had with Corinthian. This spa-like space is the perfect place to unwind after a long day. In the homeowners’ own words: “We love our new space and truly feel it adds value and enjoyment to our home.” Location: Fishers, IN Unique Features:
