1970’s Lakehouse Kitchen Renovation with Laundry and Two Bathroom Facelifts

These homeowners came to us initially to give their lakefront home a facelift with minor updates to their Master Suite as well as removing the “popcorn” ceilings, adding crown and painting their entry, a guest bedroom and a rear hallway.  In the master bath we simply painted the existing cabinetry and added a new countertop, mirrors, plumbing and lighting fixtures, leaving the existing tile in place.

Phase one of their project went so smoothly that we immediately began the Design process for their Kitchen and Dining areas as well as cosmetic updates to various areas of the home.  We designed this space with an open concept, removing a wall between the two areas to allow for improved traffic flow when entertaining.  We re-used most of their cabinetry, incorporating a few custom cabinets to match the existing and adding 2 large islands.  The cabinetry received a fresh coat of paint, and new countertops were added, along with updated lighting and plumbing fixtures.  The existing appliances were reused and relocated, except for a new cooktop.

Additionally, we gave the garage entry a facelift as well as the laundry/storage area.  And to complete the project we freshened up the guest bath with a new countertop, plumbing and lighting fixtures. The finished project has rejuvenated this home with a classic look that will allow this family to enjoy their home for years to come.
